Lod, Israel – October 16, 2013 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced that the company’s Mediant Session Border Controller (SBC) family has completed interoperability testing with BroadSoft’s® BroadWorks® application server. Mediant SBC is now part of AudioCodes “One Voice for Hosted Services” offering, and joins AudioCodes’ newly introduced Access Session Border Controllers to augment the Mediant suite of SBC for service providers and enterprises.
Mediant SBC software is available on Mediant hardware platforms and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers. Designed with cloud-based services in mind, AudioCodes’ software SBCs can be deployed seamlessly within a service provider’s cloud infrastructure, delivering security, scalability, high performance and cost optimization.
ViewQwest, Singapore’s premium fiber broadband operator, has deployed AudioCodes’ Access SBC in conjunction with its BroadSoft BroadWorks solution. “We at ViewQwest were looking for a scalable Access SBC solution that could maximize our reach to any SMB regardless of the PBX used, and serve our growing residential customer base,” commented Mr. Vignesa Moorthy, ViewQwest’s CEO. “With AudioCodes’ SBCs in place, we now possess the feature capabilities and scalability we need to expand our services.”
“The AudioCodes Mediant Session Border Controllers, whether hardware or software based, give our customers the flexibility they need to securely deliver services,” added Steve Kaish, Vice President, Business Development, at BroadSoft. “We are pleased to have successfully completed interoperability testing AudioCodes’ Mediant Access SBC.”
“We are very satisfied with this important milestone with BroadSoft,” said Yehuda Herscovici, Vice President, Products, AudioCodes. “Our service provider access SBCs leverage years of field experience to provide cutting-edge interoperability, security and SLA monitoring for today’s complex service provider cloud-based networks. We believe that being selected by an innovative next-generation operator such as ViewQwest will serve as a model for other service providers working in a BroadSoft environment.”
