AudioCodes Announces General Availability of PSTN Connectivity and Survivability Solutions for Microsoft Lync

Lod, Israel – November 17, 2010 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced the general availability of Enhanced Gateways and Survivable Branch Appliances for Microsoft Lync 2010. AudioCodes' customers utilizing "Basic" and "Basic Hybrid" gateways for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 can easily migrate to "Enhanced" and "Survivable Branch Appliance" gateway configurations for Microsoft Lync Server 2010, using a remote software upgrade, thereby maintaining their investment in existing hardware. In addition, the recently announced AudioCodes UcSIPT architecture leverages on AudioCodes' Enterprise Session Border Control support integrated into the Mediant gateways.

Customers can utilize AudioCodes' gateways in the Microsoft unified communications environment in a number of flexible ways. Enterprises that are willing to connect their headquarters to Lync Server 2010 to the PSTN or the enterprise TDM-PBX can use AudioCodes' Mediant 1000, Mediant 2000 or Mediant 3000 as "Enhanced" Gateways. Distributed organizations that are interested in connecting branch offices to their headquarters and provide survivable communication services can deploy the Mediant 1000 or Mediant 2000 as "Survivable Branch Appliances". In small and medium size branches, customers can unify all the functionalities required for branch connectivity in one device, and use the same Mediant 1000 or Mediant 800 as Multi-Service Business Gateways (MSBG) providing integrated data routing, firewalling and access for the branch.
