Lod, Israel - September 3, 2013 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced a cooperation with Gigaset Communications GmbH, a European market leader. The AudioCodes SIP Phone Support (SPS) software, which enhances AudioCodes Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBC) and Gateways, connects the GigaSet pro N720 IP DECT Multicell System to Lync servers, extending unified communications as users move about the campus and office.
AudioCodes and Gigaset performed comprehensive testing to validate the connectivity of Gigaset pro products through AudioCodes E-SBC into Microsoft Lync Servers. The resulting enhanced productivity networking solution delivers essential business communication features such as basic calls, call hold, call forward and transfer, directory lookup, base station roaming and handover. Resellers and System Integration business partners can now further enjoy a simplified, pre-qualified enhancement to the AudioCodes One Voice for Lync comprehensive portfolio of products and services.
“Microsoft Lync offers a compelling solution for Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC). By combining the AudioCodes One Voice for Lync offering and the Gigaset N720 IP DECT Multicell Solution, UCC and Enterprise cordless voice come together as an integrated solution,” said Hans Juergen Huber, SVP, Business Customers at Gigaset. “Our Gigaset Partner Network benefits from these possibilities. AudioCodes is one of the largest Lync enablers in the world. As many of our resellers already sell AudioCodes systems, the link between them and Gigaset pro was easily made. We are now able to make Lync cordless and available at anytime and anywhere in and around any company.”
“Our cooperation with Gigaset naturally enhances our One Voice for Lync offering by allowing enterprise users to go cordless,” commented Nimrod Borovsky, VP Unified Communications, at AudioCodes. “Our business partners are constantly looking to increase the innovations they offer to their customers as Microsoft Lync adoption continues to rise. We are pleased to collaborate with Gigaset on this exciting initiative.”
