Lod, Israel - July 2, 2012 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC) - a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the launch of the Mediant 4000 Enterprise Session Border Controller (E-SBC), a highly scalable addition to the Company’s family of Mediant E-SBC products. Based on AudioCodes field-proven SBC technology and products, and using state of the art network processors and digital signal processors, the Mediant 4000 offers large enterprises and contact centers secured and reliable connectivity to SIP trunks and hosted services supporting up to 4,000 concurrent sessions per device.
With the Mediant 4000 deployed at their larger offices and data centers, enterprises can benefit from seamless interconnection between their own IP-PBXs, unified communications systems or contact centers and multiple SIP trunking providers, while maintaining high VoIP quality and protecting their network from malicious or fraudulent security threats. The Mediant 4000 also fits in hosted environments for providing local survivability in case of WAN failure or a service outage.
The Mediant 4000 offers advanced resiliency by supporting active-standby high availability and connectivity to multiple SIP service nodes. Furthermore, the Mediant 4000 E-SBC, along with AudioCodes Session Experience Manager (SEM), provides enterprises a complete view of their networks’ voice quality.
